THE DANCER FILMS is a collection of very short films based on Jules Feiffer's beloved cartoon character, the modern DANCER, with live dancer and off-screen narrator, directed by Judy Dennis and produced by Ellen Dennis and Judy Dennis.

The DANCER is an icon of optimism and earnestness. She dances to celebrate a cycle of milestones -- seasonal, emotional and political. She reflects on life with uncommon sensitivity; funny and moving, she often experiences disillusionment as her dances unfurl; but, as her desire to express herself is irrepressible, she rebounds to dance again.
